this image gets resized when viewed from different browsers?
p.s. once when i was viewing this post, i was visitor# 900!
Oh, I get it now! Yes, there is this weird resizing behavior in single post mode that I cannot control so far. I will work on that.
And indeed, you were #900, but also #1234 (and many many more!) Thanks for being such a big fan, in spite of the language barrier. I promise there will be a translation of everything in LJ.
you know who each of your 1400+ visitors are???
nope, only the important ones! ;-)

... that looks like fun ...
how long is one's presence logged in when one enters the site?
yesterday i was logged in as me (opera), myself (firefox), and i (IE) .... and then came back and had a larger party ...
i noticed that i did not get counted right away when i entered from opera or firefox (until i refreshed the screens), but was counted immediately from IE ... at least that is my interpretation from yesterday and today's experiment ...
Yep, the webmaster is trying to put together a nice blogging system at the department. So far it hasn't been all that successful, and as a matter of fact, except a small practical joke on April 1st, there has been no posts except the ones you've already seen.
I don't really know how the counter system works there; I'll ask if you are very interested…
before lj, i was in sj, and tried to involve my TeX users group in it, but as you mentioned, i also had only one post (non April 1), but i mainly used it to post my announcements .... i didn't have a counter then, so i don't know how many people visited it ...
to help promote u-match, which was the academic part of sj, i held online chats for user groups, there were a few that joined the chat, the most were two others outside myself at one session ...
i wuz visitor #1700 today ...
wow, i am visitor #1800!
Yes, I seem to have an average of ~100 hits per day, and you are usually among the last ones every night, so the probabilities of taking the hundreth position is very high.
Other than that… it feels like I have been away from blogging for a long time. I haven't updated the LJ for three weeks now, and I don't even have time to read other people's weblogs any longer.
The thing is that I will travel to Minnesota next September to stay for at least 10 months, and I am trying to arrange many things for that now, together with the usual amount of work and whatnot. I have virtually no time for this anymore, and I miss it a lot. I guess this is another flavor in which withdrawal syndrome presents itself, right?
b/c the sun sets last in my part of the country is probably why i am usu one of the latest visitors.
new job in Minnesota? exciting?
