Ayuda a la policía y al Ejército
Esta misma mañana llega un correo electrónico con esta petición tan curiosa:
The IMA has been contacted by a homicide investigator from a Virginia police department. He sent a security camera video of a car leaving a gas station after a homicide. It is believed that the perpetrator is in the car, so the police would like to determine the car make and model and other possible identifying information, but, because of the quality of the video, are unable to do so by direct viewing. To this end, they are eager to have the help of imaging experts.Y hace unos meses, otra petición similar, esta vez del ejército del aire estadounidense:
If you are interested in obtaining a copy of the video to see if you can help, let me know and I'll give you a website and a password for obtaining it (as a 1.4 MB AVI file).

We have made available a large data set obtained by radar imaging of a backhoe, courtesy of the Air Force Research Lab, including 2D and 3D challenge problems. You can find the data on the IMA computer systemTrabajar en esta institución tiene este tipo de sorpresas.

You may use this data here at the IMA. If you wish to export it to your own computers, please request a copy of the DVD from AFRL as explained in the README file.
This is a 3GB sample of a much larger (90GB) dataset. We plan to make the full dataset available soon.
